About the department & role
BESTSELLER is one of the largest fashion companies with around 20 brands; including VERO MODA, ONLY, VILA, NAME IT, SELECTED, JACK & JONES and PIECES amongst others. Our products are sold in approx. 15,000 multi-brand and department stores and globally through our E-commerce platform.
You will be part of BESTSELLER’s central E-commerce department in the centre of Amsterdam. From this office we support all BESTSELLER brands in growing and optimizing their E-commerce activities in an open, dynamic and international environment where each day brings new and interesting challenges.
The role of the Analytics team is to empower teams to make data-driven decisions. We focus on providing insights across the entire e-commerce business, including areas such as customer behaviour, web traffic acquisition, stock & assortment management and more. You will work closely with colleagues from Trading, Category Management and Business Intelligence.
Specific Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, it will be your role to deliver analyses and other ad-hoc projects to stakeholders and play a key role in shaping business decision making. You will be working with different teams, and as you develop you will become a specialist in data-analytics. More specifically your tasks will include:
Extracting data from different systems
Transforming data into meaningful insights
Visualizing your insights in a clear way
Presenting analysis outcomes & recommendations to stakeholders
Leading new analysis initiatives to get more from our data
Desired Skills and Experience:
1-3 years working experience (similar role preferred). We currently have multiple openings and are looking for people with different levels of experience.
Bachelors, master’s or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g. Economics, Business Analytics, Informatics, Marketing Intelligence, Finance, Mathematics or equivalent)
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
Proficient in SQL.
Knowledge of Python/R is considered as a plus (but not necessary but must be willing to learn).
Experience with Google Analytics, Big Query and/or Tag Manager are considered as a plus.
Basic knowledge of E-commerce business model.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
