Team Lead 3D Printing CoE & Instrument Workshop

You will be a vital part of The Shell Technology Centre Amsterdam (STCA) one of three Shell R&D global sites with a focus to support Shell businesses from Upstream and Downstream to Integrated Gas and New Energies.
With an ambition to become a world class lab, the STCA has more than 600 research installations covering many different technologies, and with an aim to support Shell to develop cleaner and better solutions for the future.
Whats the role?
In this role you will be responsible for the development of the 3D Printing Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the Instrument workshop capabilities in STCA. Youll manage the instrument workshop team in a lean/agile way and youll be an integral part of the experimental installations management team As team lead youll also have budget (CAPEX and OPEX) responsibilities and lead a team of 13 staff.
We will rely upon your leadership capabilities to lead the 3D Printing Centre of Excellence, meaning:
Lead the implementation of the Instrument workshop strategy;
Drive the implementation of the 3D Print strategy by delivering and developing the partnership with 3D Printing Digitalisation, and the wider stakeholder community both internal and external
What we need from you
As well as having strong internal and external stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills. Your professionalism in people management and leadership within the team comes naturally.
We hope to see as many of the following as possible on your CV:
Masters Degree in preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;
Demonstrated experience with 3D Printing, conventional machining and related technology
Demonstrated team lead experience with > 3 staff;
Technical knowledge of experimental research installations and site-specific knowledge would be an advantage;
Fluency in Dutch and English is required
