Software Engineer Innovation Services (C, C++ or C#)
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Play a key position for the growth of Philips Innovation Services as a software engineer with experience in C++ and C#, having familiarity with the mechatronics domain and/or the medical equipment domain.
As a software designer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Services and our customers.
You will participate in the design, implementation, testing and integrating of the control software for equipment in the mechatronic or medical domain.
You are responsible for
Responsible for the detailed requirements, the design, and implementation of mechatronic software;
Gather, define and write the detailed requirements specifications, usually based upon higher-level system requirements & the system design specification;
Create a design of the software, on the basis of the detailed requirements, so that the software in question will be reliable, efficient, and easy to maintain;
Define the detailed test design and test specifications.
You are a part of
The Mechatronics department of Philips Innovation Services (PInS) that is responsible for specification, design and realization of high-end mechatronic solutions. In this department is the group E-HW & SW Motion Control responsible for the electrical and software control of this equipment and products.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor degree in technical software engineering
2 to 5 year work experience, preferably some years in a high-tech environment
Experience in C, C++ and C#
Able to make a robust software design
Communicative, creative and agile team-player
Customer centric attitude
Able to make a work break down and a planning for your own work
You have interest in the domains medical equipment, industrial automation and mechatronics
Experience in different SW development platforms: VxWorks, Windows, Linux, RTOS
Experience with motion software, familiarity with control system engineering
Interest in using a variety of platforms as PC, embedded controllers and PLCs (in each project we select for the best fit)
Interest in model based code generation for motion control (using Simulink) or machine control (using UML)
Interest in software for PLCs, having experience is a preference
Interest in agile software development
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Willingness to work at the customer location
