An influential and autonomous global role for a specialist who can help to define and execute our tax strategy
As a leading multinational, AkzoNobel operates its own in-house Tax department. Transfer Pricing (TP) is central to this capability and an important aspect of an overall Tax Strategy that reflects a large flow of internal goods and services.
Within this context, your mission in this role is to perform end-to-end TP within an expert team of in-house specialists, assuming responsibility for defining, implementing and monitoring AkzoNobels TP policy and processes. In doing so you make a vital contribution to our Tax Strategy which makes this an exciting position for experienced and specialized candidates who can work autonomously.

Senior Transfer Pricing Manager
The role and its responsibilities
This influential and full-time role is based at Arnhem/Amsterdam AkzoNobel locations in the Netherlands.
Your core task is to assume detailed and overall responsibility for our TP affairs, reporting to the Head of Tax at AkzoNobel.
This requires you to:
Work closely with other members of the AkzoNobel Tax team, corporate functions and businesses in order to provide TP advice on regional and global aspects;
Ensure that AkzoNobel is compliant with TP rules by supervising and communicating latest developments, proactively initiating follow up actions with other stakeholders;
Initiate and analyze the TP aspects of important business transformations;
Lead the overall TP documentation process and requirements (in particular OECD guidelines and BEPS action 13);
Oversee and contribute to the preparation of reports and benchmarks studies for intercompany transactions.
Further, you oversee TP tax risk management to ensure that policies are aligned with the value chain of the business, and you lead key APAs and support the business and the tax team in transfer pricing audits.
You directly manage one TP Manager and cooperate closely with our Warsaw-based TP Center of Expertise team.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Master’s degree in tax law or tax economics or a similar form and level of certification;
6-8 years of TP experience in an international tax environment, preferably with a Big4 or in-house at a multinational or similar;
Able to gain acceptance of plans and activities by convincing others towards a desired goal or course of action;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including fluent written and spoken English.
