Senior Associate Finance Control
The Finance Reporting team of Domestic Bank Netherlands (DBNL) is looking for a strong finance professional. If you are looking for a position at the largest ING entity, where your work is both relevant and challenging, please continue reading.
The Financial Reporting team of DBNL prepares monthly and quarterly statutory and regulatory reporting, provides analytical reviews, extensive analysis and advise regarding the Regulatory and IFRS standards and is in charge of proper implementation of those standards and related controls.
Your work environment
The following items provide a good overview of your job responsibilities:
Provide timely, robust and reliable financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. Prepare in time monthly and quarterly statutory and regulatory reports for DBNL like liquidity reporting, Finrep, Country Risk etc.;
Monitor validation reports on end product and solve validation errors in end product;
Draw up and prepare annual reports for the various participations of DBNL and prepare notes for annual accounts in accordance with IFRS guidelines;
Assist in preparing judgemental reviews and benchmark analysis;
Participate in further improvement of processes (in relation to systems and work processes);
Responsible to embed, execute and test the required internal controls in the financial processes (Sox and ING Minimum Standards Financial and Regulatory Reporting);
Perform data research and suggest topics for deep dives. Make creative suggestions and discuss these with team members to present possible areas for application of advanced analytics in appropriate ways, which support the Finance Control objectives;
Be involved in the development and formulation of control framework. Draw up and maintain guidelines;
Monitor developments in external reporting requirements;
Assist in maintaining internal and external contacts for the supply, processing and checking of data, data quality and procedures;
Support the (senior) team member(s) to prepare response(s) of ad-hoc request(s) from stakeholders (e.g. ECB, management, external auditor);

Important qualities necessary for this function are:
Bachelor degree in Economics and willingness to develop yourself further regarding content and competences
3+ years experience in a relevant field and experience with working in large data processing organisations
Fluent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Good communication skills in Dutch (reading and verbal, written is not essential but beneficial)
Analytical skills with regard to figures and financial topics
Knowledgeable on Finance matters (financial and regulatory reporting requirements)
Knowledge of MS Office Excel (incl. working with large datasets), Access, Word
Well-developed communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience in dealing with external and internal auditors is a plus
