Your everyday tasks and responsibilities as a SEO Specialist
Action was crowned best retailer of the year in 2018 and achieved this through the revolutionary way in which we expand and continue to focus on our customers. The SEO Specialist is responsible for the strategy, communication and creation of a variety of deliverables including keyword strategies and website audits. You initiate and monitor technical and content improvements to our digital channels to optimize our SERP visibility.
You will focus on the following tasks and responsibilities:
Creating highly refined international keyword strategies (in particular non-branded words), based on continuous data analysis, keyword research and competitive analysis.
Framing technical SEO within a larger understanding of the digital marketing strategy. You identify problems and opportunities, with a focus on crawlability, site architecture and site content.
Briefing and guiding the Digital Assets & Content team to write copy that is not only keyword-rich, but also user-friendly.
Writing advice reports on content, technology and link-building in support of SEO goals.
Focusing on the different countries and responding to the local differences between cultures/countries.
Preparing dashboards and regular reporting for management.
Coordinate SEO agency resources and activities and assure good cooperation.
Conducting end-to-end SEO testing and validation for SEO related tickets.
Continually develop new ideas for SEO testcases an execute those tests.
Staying up to date on current industry practices, news and algorithm updates!
In this role you will also be responsible for training and guiding a Jr. SEO Specialist in the future and work closely with the SEA Specialist. You report to the Web Manager and will be a vital team member within the Digital Transition of Action. The work location is our International Head Office in Zwaagdijk and our agencies in Amsterdam.
What characterizes a SEO Specialist at Action?
The SEO Specialist were looking for is able to think in customer and result-oriented solutions and demonstrates a high level of analytical skills! You are confident working in multidisciplinary teams and show strong verbal and written communication skills.
Beside that we require:
Bachelor degree in combination with a minimum of 3 years of experience as (Technical) SEO Specialist at an international omnichannel company. Experience in Retail is strongly preferred.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google My Business and SEO Research Tools (like MOZ, Majestic, Ahrefd etc) and a variety of content management systems.
In-dept knowledge of industry trends and ranking factors and hands-on experience executing integrated SEO programs with proven success.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language.
