What is the main focus?
Your main task will be to drive the quality program as defined within the Mechatronic System Development department. You are able to convince stakeholders and set them in motion to act according the quality standards. The roadmap is defined and needs to be rolled out however your knowledge and input will further improve the quality program.
The department Mechatronics Systems Development is responsible for specification, design, integration, qualification, industrialization and delivery of the mechatronics (sub-) systems and components which fit into ASML end products and meet ASML business requirements.As a quality manager you take responsibility for monitoring the quality of the departments deliverables, you drive quality improvements in e.g. way of working, tools or training. You will be part of the management team of the MSD department reporting to the department manager. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and ASML gives you the chance to grow.
You will define the quality strategy on department level as member of the DE MH MSD staff,
working together with Competence Owners and group leaders who take operational
responsibility within their groups and competences. You enable the staff to execute their accountability in quality control by maintaining and deploying departments processes, providing regular reporting on process adherence to group leaders and project leaders. Other main responsibilities:
Execute process assessments on key processes to drive data driven process improvements.Execute process improvement projects as part of the quality strategy at department level and/or sector level.
Bring the voice of the customer into the department by providing feedback from customers, factory and integration to the department.
Improve the feedback loop.Drive for continuous improvement; drive
engineers to find root causes of technical issues and translate them into lessons learned.
Drive competence leads/owners to translate lessons learned into guidelines, design rules or process improvements.
Report on quality status, keep department dashboard up-to-date, communicate quality
message in groups and on department level.
Improve transparency and Support reviewing and coaching projects and their engineers on the quality of technical solutions proposed and deliverables produced.
Be up to date with knowledge in competence areas and functions related to the mechatronic department.
Detect issues and bottlenecks in the quality circle and drive their solution.
Provide input from DE MH MSD department into cluster and sector Quality roadmap including industrialization.
Drive the use of processes and embed the D&E Way of Working including industrialization.
Bachelor or Master degree in Applied Physics, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering.
You have demonstrated leadership skills in quality, project or line management besides that;
5-10 years of work experience in complex technically-driven international organization(s) preferably with direct experience of mechatronic system design and integration.
Affinity with managing specifications and test results within one or more of the following technical areas: control, dynamics, actuator systems, signal analysis and testing.
Theoretical or practical experience with mechatronic systems, control engineering, actuator design, dynamics.
Experience in driving quality standards and processes in a development or research surrounding/department.
Highly motivated, enthusiast, flexible and a good communicator.
Result driven, good organizational, planning and prioritizing skills.
