What are you going to do?
The Global Projectmanager Transportation Management Solution (TMS) will be part of the global logistic procurement team and will assist the global logistics procurement team in being world class in sourcing and execution of global logistics to serve Nutrecos businesses, suppliers and customers. (=our Mission & Vision). He or she will report directly into the Global Category Manager Logistics with a dotted line to the Global Lead Buyer Supply Chain, warehousing and road transport services.
He or she will be primarily responsible for the successful implementation of a state of the art TMS covering all road transport related activities of the sourcing and execution process. This one integrated modular system will optimize, standardize and digitalize all road transport related services and will need to be implemented across all the Nutreco operating companies of Cluster ECAM and Spain with a further worldwide implementation potential across Nutreco.
The Global Projectmanager TMS will prepare, lead & execute the joint Global Operations and Global Procurement TMS Project in line with business needs and project management methods and techniques (including the defined project management framework), to deliver the project according to the agreed objectives. He / she oversees the planning and tracking of the pre-implementation, implementation and post-implementation activities.The Project Manager is responsible for meeting project objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, and for managing any associated risks.
The role typically requires strong technical skills, proven project management experience, and ideally prior experience in the rolling out of a TMS across a multinational organization. The Projectmanager will have in depth knowledge of specific project management systems/tools, either the Nutreco Project Management standard PM processes, methods, templates, tools and techniques, or other recognized PM methods (PMbok, Prince2, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of the road transportation sourcing ad execution process is a clear asset, however excellent project management skills though are essential to the role. This since the project TMS is both large in scope (many operating companies and a large group of contracted carriers) as high in complexity. (covering the whole end to end sourcing and execution process)
What are your key accountabilities?
Project TMS Preparation and Planning:
Ensures the requirements of the project are made explicit, challenge requirements in view of the business of functional targets, in line with the project goals and objectives and budget requirements, in order to safeguard that the project goals are aligned with internal customers and other stakeholders needs.
Plans, budgets, oversees and documents all aspects of the project (scope, governance, cost, timing, technology, quality, constraints, assumptions, interdependencies, risks and other issues). Assigns the responsibilities and tasks in the project structure and makes the detailed project planning, together with the TMS provider and Nutreco IT projectmanager, which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project, in order to have adequate project targets, budget and planning which enable realization of project deliverables.
Establishes an adequate project governance structure to enable efficient communication to the project team, stakeholders and users.
Project TMS Execution:
Manages the project execution, coordinates all involved internal and external parties and monitors consistency with the project plan and approved changes thereof. Ensures successful transitions resulting in the adoption and realization of change caused by the project. Obtains the required approvals for the project from all internal and external stakeholders, in order to realize the project results according to the project planning and project requirements and the internal customer(s) is / are satisfied.
Project TMS Monitoring, Control and Reporting:
Analyses, determines and manages a risk-, issue-, management- and quality plan, monitors and controls (and steers) the realization of deliverables in line with explicit quality agreements, standards, budget and guidelines.
Monitors, manages and reports about the budget, time, organization, resources, quality and risks of the assigned projects, takes corrective actions when necessary and ensures adequate reporting, to ensure that the Project is delivered within budget and meets objectives. Ensures a solid project administration, documentation according in line with Nutreco guidelines
Reviews the quality of the work completed by the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
Provides regular status and project progress updates (reporting) to the stakeholders (Project Owner and Steering Committee) at agreed times and when necessary, and facilitates the project decision-making process, so risks and quality expectations are shared, transparent and safeguarded, and project escalations are addressed in a timely manner.
Project TMS Closure:
Ensures the closure of projects for all stakeholders (large amount), including project documentation, closure material, definition of potential follow-up activities and handing the project over to the business, so that project results are transparent and accessible for (decision-making and valuation of) relevant stakeholders.
Project TMS Knowledge Development and – Sharing:
Keeps up with internal and external communication developments within the functional domain and expertise and ensures development, transfer and retention of new and state of the art knowledge in the area of expertise, in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge and insight into developments in the area of expertise.
Project TMS People Management:
Manages and coaches project teams (fixed central project team members + changing local operating company team members), ensures full cross functional engagement, motivates employees through sincere and concrete feedback and takes appropriate escalation action when needed towards management and steering committee to remove obstacles, for signing off on deliverables and continued securing of executive support. Stimulates team cooperation and mobility and ensures compliance, utilizing the relevant HR instruments, service and procedures, in order to achieve that project management staff are deployable (quantitatively and qualitatively) and willing to and capable of realizing the set objectives. Ensures that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the project, as appropriate.
Act as super-user of the TMS tool training local operating company trainers and/or users;
Support implementation of other (supply chain related) projects where requested;
Support execution of tenders for al modalities (air, ocean, warehousing and land transport) where requested;
Any other (logistics related) administration, procurement and execution related activities.

What you bring
Bachelor degree / level, preferable in IT and/or logistics. Business Applications Knowledge of (IPMA, PMP, or similar), certificate is a preference; project management systems/tools/methods knowledge and experience (proven in Scrum and/or Agile is a preference);
At least 5-6 Years working experience as (senior) projectmanager in an (international) working environment within in international logistics;
Experience in development/selection process of business applications and its implementations; preferably Transportation Management Solutions (TMS) covering the whole process from sourcing to execution;
Some experience with ERP or related systems (e.g. M3, BI Tools);
Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
