Were looking for an experienced PR practitioner who will sit within our energetic and ambitious Corporate Communications team, reporting to the PR Director. Together with your colleagues in Amsterdam and around the globe, youll help us to tell the TomTom story across external channels, with a focus on Location Technologies. So, who are you? Youre a brilliant writer, with a keen eye for detail. Youre just as interested diving into big tech issues, as you are in simplifying them. You have a global view, and a local sensitivity. Youll know how to influence people especially journalists, and youll have worked agency-side, and/or in-house. Critically, youre super-organized, willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in and youre also willing to roll with changes when you least expect them.
What youll do
Work with our product experts to develop media-ready stories about our technology offering
Develop external communications copy such as press releases, blogs and thought leadership content
Briefing and supporting our spokespeople for media interactions
Proactively identify, share and make recommendations on news and issues that TomTom should have a voice in
Occasionally support internal communications
What youll need
8-10 years international PR experience preferably both agency-side and in-house
Excellent writing skills
Experience interacting with media
A global view and the cultural sensitivity that goes with it
The ability to work fast, and adapt fast, under pressure
Bachelors degree in communications, PR or a related field preferred
Faultless spoken and written English
