WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
As the Nike Direct Brand Planning Director, you will be a part of the Nike Direct Marketing Brand Leadership Team, reporting directly to the VP of Nike Direct Brand Marketing. In compliment, you will play also a pivotal role as part of the Nike EMEA Brand Planning functional team, partnering closely at all times, especially with that teams leader, the Senior Brand Director. Considering this, you need to be extremely well versed in matrix navigation, multiple stakeholder management, and be able to undertake enterprise thinking while at the same time sweat the details. Your experiences should will be multifaceted across marketing and ideally include robust understanding and management of complex business scenarios. To this point, you must strive under pressure but be positively and emotionally engaged at all times.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
You will be responsible for shaping, in close partnership with the afore mentioned Leadership Teams, as well as wider areas of the Nike EMEA organization, the future vision of the consumer direct offence specific to Nike Direct Marketing. At the same time, you and your team will manage the day to day requirements of the Nike Direct marketing operations. This means specifically helping lead & drive the x-functional strategy for Nike Direct Brand Marketing, in complete harmony with the Brand Planning function, across EMEA to ensure all functions are executing against alongside Consumer Code key dates & gates. To do this you must provide a significant spectrum of teams with the right tools and framework to set up them up for success and deliver against goals & targets. The success of seasonal and longer-term initiatives will rely on your appreciation of the most advanced marketing and media techniques and practices, both on and offline, always at the speed of the consumer. For you, an obsession with the consumer and how we pivot our offence and operations when and wherever needed is always at the forefront of your daily strategic thinking.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
In strong collaboration with key partners and Leadership within Nike Direct (Brand + Business), Brand Planning and category brand you will align the shape of season identifying gaps and opportunities to serve the consumer in a better and more personal way, and at the same time maximize the business opportunities. Your role will be one of the most integral to our marketing offence, with an incredibly diverse set of stakeholders. From Senior Leadership on an EMEA level right through to day-to-day liaison with our teams in the key cities. The shape of your day-to-day leadership will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. But at all times it must be collaborative and intuitive, seeking new and innovative ways to maximise the effectiveness of individual as well as collective thinking. You must multiply the opinions and expertise of those you engage with in order to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities to continue to apply new thinking. Whats more, in your role you will act as a key advisor to the VP of Nike Direct Marketing, as well as be one of the most active supporters of the EMEA Brand Planning Team, in wider strategic as well as organizational needs and processes that should be implemented in order for plans to be executed to the highest standard.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

A minimum of 10years experience in strategic planning or business development, with ideally a strong focus on marketing in retail or omnichannel businesses or agencies
Exposure to, and management of, in-depth understanding of brand levers, retail across channels and consumer behavior. You must have significant consumer knowledge in EMEA
You will have at least at strong foundation of technical knowledge when it comes to digital, in particular mobile, innovative brand practices and performance media planning
You will be analytically adept, but at the same time be able to distil the most complex situations down in a way that allows you to showcase your thinking in creative ways
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the passion to develop and coach a team
Experience of collaborating effectively with other functions, departments and external stakeholders the ability to embrace when not directly owning key workstreams
Passion for reinventing the way we approach traditional ways of working. Not scared to challenge the past and in doing so push new creative ways of thinking and working
Great sense of judgment and decision-making. Emotionally intelligent with a growth mindset
Strong verbal and written communication in English & relationship management skills the ability to work with EMEA / global leadership team within Nike Direct & brand category
Experience working in and passionate about sport, the sports lifestyle and the culture around it
