You drive and own the success of delivering the company-wide CI curriculum based on Lean Six Sigma (L6S). Besides you are the ambassador for not only L6S but also change management within AkzoNobel with its approximately 35.000 employees worldwide. You will be able to engage your colleagues cross-functionally for Continuous Improvement (CI). Next, you combine your CI skills, knowhow and expertise with your passion and experience to teach in CI methodology and how to apply it (from basic level to expert (BB) level).
You gain insights in the organization with different departments, products and CI projects. You have exposure to key stakeholders, local CI specialists and regional/global CI leads in different departments. Furthermore, you can develop your knowledge about the companys challenges and opportunities which provides insights for further career development within the company.
What will you do?
You drive and own the success of this key training curriculum and coaching program. As outstanding Lean Six Sigma professional you inspire others to work together in new and more effective ways. This role reports into the Integrated Supply Chain Faculty which is part of the global L&D (Learning and Development) organization.
Important to consider is that you will travel within Europe and America to deliver class room trainings. You are also responsible together with your CI master trainer colleague in Asia to maintain and update the CI curriculum content.
What tasks and duties are associated with this role?
Deliver the AkzoNobel Continuous Improvement curriculum in at our offices/sites in Europe and America (50% of your time);
Maintain and update the curriculum content and related tools and exams;
Build and maintain a network with the local CI specialists and regional CI leads within your scope as well with the global CI Leads;
Pro-actively participate in the global CI board and contribute to their effort to further build on the CI Culture and skills within AkzoNobel.
Who are you?
You are an experienced CI (Master) Black Belt with a passion for teaching others in CI. You are excellent in giving class room trainings and self-confident in develop your trainees up to the required CI level. You love to coach others and to help building a fostering environment to ensure the trainees can complete their related improvement initiatives successfully.
What skills and experience do you bring?
Certified Master Black Belt (CI Master) preferred. Five years CI Expert (Black Belt) experience and two years CI Master experience preferred;
Around 3 years of experience in teaching CI;
Organized, innovative and open-minded listener and problem solver, able to work with multiple cultures, countries, and personalities;
Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, JMP);
Able to travel 50% of your time to Europe and America;
Fluent in English, another language is a benefit.
