Our Swine Team
The Swine Team is a part of the Innovation Organization. We drive the marketing strategy and innovation roadmap across multiple markets in close collaboration with our operating companies. With a focus on Early Life Nutrition, Healthy Life and Precision Farming, we develop and deliver branded value propositions for our nutritional solutions.
Reporting directly to the Global Director of the Swine team, we are looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to join the team. In this international position, you work closely with the Marketing Managers and our operating companies to bring integrated value propositions to life via differentiated brand positioning and campaign activation.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As Marketing Communications Manager, you further develop the vision and brand awareness campaign of our swine portfolio in alignment with the marketing strategy and business plans. You especially focus on the Early Life Nutrition portfolio, and the coordination of marketing communications strategies and activities across our three focus areas (Early Life, Healthy Life and Precision Nutrition).
As Marketing Communications Manager, you position and strengthen the brands of our swine portfolio by creating and implementing marketing communications strategies and plans in key markets. We have new product launches coming up, and one of your main challenges is to translate technical information about animal feed technology into comprehensive communication messages, tools and online and offline materials that farmers understand and find useful.
Furthermore, you translate the global brand campaign into region specific propositions that fit the international operating companies. You do this in close collaboration with your marketing colleagues and with external agencies. You interact and align on a daily basis with colleagues in the global headquarter and with the operating companies.
Finally, you organize the global webinars for the Trouw Nutrition Swine Community. Once a month we get together in an online hosted meeting to discuss actual topics and main prioritizes, and you update and inform people about this meeting.
This is a full-time position at our global headquarters in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. You should expect 5-10% of international travel in this position.
+3 years of experience in marketing communications gained in an international company or with a leading agency where you have worked closely with international B-2-B / B-2-C / B-2-Farmers key accounts. Preferably leading players in the animal feed / animal pharma / nutritional / agriculture or food industry.
Initial experience in building a brand from defining the vision and value proposition to translating the value proposition into a creative online and offline concepts. You can manage, brief and cooperate with external agencies and partners.
Experience with marketing communications towards a customer base that consists of multiple stakeholders influencing the buying decision, and therefore must be approached in tailored ways.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical content into commercial customer focused content.
Ability to interface with all organizational levels, and work with multi-cultural sensitivity in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams.
A team-player that collaborates with colleagues in the global HQ and with international operating companies. You look at things with the eyes of the operating companies and from the customers point of view.
A strategic doer with energy and a creative vision that make things happen. You are willing to learn and work independently with a sense of urgency for project/task prioritization and planning.
Masters degree in marketing communications, journalism or related field.
Ideally, native English speaker with good proofreading skills. Design skills and the ability to visualize an idea is considered as an extra asset.
