The Distribution Manager, ANSC is responsible for overseeing all planning execution activities to ensure the organization meets performance objectives in areas of customer service, inventory, and operating costs. This includes responsibility for the coordination of all inbound/outbound distribution activities, documentation and the logistic network in support of ANI sales.
This position has direct managerial responsibility for AN distribution activity at ALOG and is part of the Operations Management Team. The Distribution Manager is responsible for maintaining personnel records, securing competence and development of the Distribution team and acting as necessary to resolve problems and conflicts concerning personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership (8 – 12 fte), direction, and coordination of all ANSC ALOG distribution activities
Establish priorities, strategies, and communicate to department and other partners in the supply chain
Develop strategies, goals, policies, programs and financial plans in accordance with division policies, goals, forecasts, quality requirements, and budgetary targets
Monitor actual vs. planned operational activity and budgets taking corrective action where necessary to meet site and division objectives
Maintain effective working relationships with manufacturing sources, TPM organization, division sourcing, division team, affiliates, sister divisions, outside agencies/providers and the local community
Assure compliance with local and Abbott quality, financial, and regulatory rules, policies, and regulations
Evaluate organizational strategy and structure for alignment with division strategy and global customer needs.
Manage continued improvement in process and competence in support of high standards of Customer Service and Cost Control
Implement changes where necessary and provide knowledge, coaching, training, resources to accomplish
Assure compliance with local, international and Abbott quality, financial and regulatory rules, policies and procedures
Position Interaction Internal & External Contacts (Influencing, motivating, etc.)
Regular contact with multiple Abbott departments and corporate/division personnel concerning performance, issue resolution, projects and improvement opportunities
Regular contact with ALOG Supply Chain partners concerning processes, cooperation, Information Management, functional support and communication
Regular contact with site Finance department; concerning operating costs, financial plans and updates, process improvements and projects.
Occasional contact with Plant QA and ALOG QA concerning compliance and QMS support
Regular to occasional contact with IT support; concerning, data queries, system issues, improvement opportunities, system access, etc. (?)
Creative and analytical problem-solving skills are required
Experience with change management
Minimum Green Belt level
Achievement of key performance indicators for On Time arrival, Order fulfillment, On Time In Full with Quality Documentation, IDA, productivity, cost improvements, network effectivity (?)
Supports development, training and supervision

The Distribution Manager is directly responsible for daily supervision of Distribution and Documentation Specialists
