Inside Sales Representative Digital Science – EMEA
The job: Inside Sales Representative Digital Science EMEA (Band 6)
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the discovery and nurturing of new leads for the Digital Science product portfolio within the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas. Additionally, the role will have responsibility for the complete end to end management of the RFx process. The Inside Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
Where will you work?
Based in Breda, NL or Altrincham, UK you will play a key role within the newly formed Digital Science business units commercial team.
What will you do?
Lead generate to build the Digital Science pipeline across the assigned territory
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
Lead nurture via the presentation of marketing materials and technical information to potential clients.
Manage leads to the opportunity stage driving the transition from the inside sales office to the appropriate account manager.
Map accounts to identify key stakeholders decision makers and influencers.
Identify and attend appropriate lead generation events such as seminars, workshops and exhibitions
Team with existing channel partners to assist them in building pipeline
On board new channel partners
Research and document the competitive landscape within each country across the region
Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) process from qualification, completion and through to submission. The Inside Sales Representative will identify and manage the appropriate Thermo Fisher personnel required to author the response throughout the submission period
Create financial reports
Maintain and continually build the territory reference database and case studies
Act as custodian for the sales QMS process ensuring compliance in the annual audits
Generate new business appointment for territory account managers
Prospect event management
Create training quotations
Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities
Degree in a scientific discipline or business related discipline.
Multi-lingual must be fluent in English and at least one other European language (French, German, Dutch and Spanish are desirable)
Highly-motivated with a winning attitude, thrives in a team environment.
Deep understanding of customer needs and requirements in a scientific environment.
Proficient in making cold calls, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects. A strong phone presence is required
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize responsibilities according to business requirements
Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
