What do we offer?
As Systems Domain Expert you drive part of the Finance IT roadmap on behalf of the Head of Global Finance Systems. You are responsible for managing (part of) the functional process design for one or more global AkzoNobel Paints & Coatings Finance Systems and you manage to standardize financial master-data within and/or across global AkzoNobel Finance Systems.
What will you do?
You review and approve change requests for one or more AN PC Finance systems impacting the functional process design
You are the driver of continuous improvement plans relating to financial system processes (standardization, harmonization, effectiveness & efficiency improvements).
Continuous improvement projects not only with regards to the global AN PC Finance systems, but also the interfaces between these systems and with connected systems
Manages the financial master data objects5 and monitors compliance to SCOA for one or more AN PC Finance systems and maintains data definitions & guiding principles
Reviews and approves all changes in (part of) the financial master-data (configuration) for one or more AN PC Finance systems, including alignment between these systems
Translates SCOA, IFRS (webFEM), organizational changes and new business requirements into requirements for Finance systems process design updates / improvements
Embeds (part of) the Finance Systems process design within the organization by:
Identification of training needs by measuring major gaps between (ERP) process design and actual practice
Setting-up training programs to improve the in-depth knowledge of the financial system process design (train-the-trainer concept)
Developing standardized training modules for new key-users / end-users
Develops and maintains SAP & HFM integrated closing procedures by
Optimizing, standardizing and harmonizing existing system closing scripts
Implementing tooling to automate transactions, reconciliations and clearing processes
Including SAP integrated closing procedures in training programs
Works together with the respective local reporting entities and AkzoNobel tax department to ensure, next to webFEM compliance, compliance to local statutory and fiscal requirements and ensures the ERP system design is set-up to meet these local requirements
Integrates financial system process design with functional (system) process designs of other disciplines
Provides, from Finance Systems perspective, functional direction, training and support to (the key users of) Finance Operations (local reporting units, regional accounting centers and financial shared service centers), Consolidation & Technical Accounting, FP&A, Commercial & ISC Navigators.
Which skills and experience do you bring?
High level knowledge of IFRS, accounting and financial reporting (masters in economics or similar)
High level knowledge of SAP financial modules is preferred (SAP-FI must, other SAP modules highly preferred), SAP Analytics Cloud experience is desired
High level knowledge of consolidation & reporting systems (HFM), BI & planning tooling preferred
At least 7 years of relevant working experience in relevant regional or BU function (e.g. accounting, controlling, reporting, FP&A or finance process management)
You have the ability to translate business processes into financial processes and accounting treatments
You are not afraid to be critical in a positive way and to challenge and ask questions
Enthusiasm and motivation/eagerness to learn and perform
You have a positive attitude and yuo’re good at dealing with complexity (strong analytical skills)
You have a strong (interest) in process development and project management
You are able to manage relationships at all levels like BU/regional management, corporate Finance departments, corporate IM (esp. Solution Architects and application managers), GBS, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with(in) international, multi-cultural and cross-functional teams
You don’t mind travelling world-wide required (approx. 25% of the time)
English language (fluent)
