The NutriOpt platform provides a wide range of data-driven, easy-to-apply systems, tools and services. This includes, among other things, offering NIR Services in numerous ways.
The NIR team offers NIR services to the internal Nutreco organization (Trouw Nutrition and Skretting) and to external customers all over the world. The team is responsible for more than 400 NIR instruments and is constantly looking for improvements in techniques (network / calibration / instruments). Therefore, NutriOpt is currently looking for a NIR Application Specialist who will play a key role in the central organization and innovation of NIR application projects within Nutreco and its customers.
As NIR Application Specialist, you will have an important role to extend our NIR Services further into the business. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a network of NIR instruments and calibration databases. You are part of a leading team of NIR specialists in animal nutrition. A team who is managing a global network of one of the largest NIR databases.
This position provides development, implementation and maintenance of our NIR technologies.
Your main responsibilities are:
Securing the quality of the delivered NIR services by developing calibrations for several NIR projects;
Developing new techniques and services related to NIR;
Participating within projects related to implementation of NIR techniques and applications;
Pro-active behavior towards innovations related to spectroscopic techniques;
On long term, support to sister companies and external customers.

What you bring
Bachelors degree in life sciences (analytical chemistry / spectroscopy);
5 years of work experience in development of calibrations and validation of this calibrations with spectroscopic software and equipment (knowledge of Bruker OPUS/ONET software and instruments is a must);
Experience in database management;
Experience in chemometrics;
Experience with different spectroscopic techniques;
