ING is looking for a DevOps Engineer within the Financial Markets & Group Treasury (FM>) domain. ING FM> is the Banks gateway to the professional markets of the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products, services and advice. FM> aims to be a leading market player in our home markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Your work environment
In this role you will be part of one of the platform squads which are globally responsible for the technical support, maintenance and enhancement of different key applications within FM>. The ING Wholesale Banking organization is in the midst of transitioning into an Agile Way of Working, wherein the Platforms and Capabilities squads will work in a close way in order to meet the clients needs.
The Platform DevOps Engineer will combine analytical, technical and functional expertise in order to perform the following:
Develop and improve environment management tooling to ensure the capability squads can self-manage their environments such as refreshing the databases, deployments, configure the connectivity for testing purposes etc.
Develop and improve monitoring tools used to monitor the different applications of FM> by the squads responsible for production support.
Develop and improve the automated continuous delivery pipeline to do software releases.
Perform technical production support and perform tasks like database health- and (performance) optimization improvements, analyze and improve Linux performance, analyze network statistics, etc.
Fully contribute to improving the platform squads processes whilst also ensuring all mandatory requirements such as IT risk control, change control etc. are adhered to.
Work on Risk related controls such as Security Monitoring, Identity and Access Management, Change Management, Platform Security and more.
Contribute to improvements and be proactively engaged in the teams Scrum ceremonies.
Experience and Skills
Proven track record in this role, preferably in an international environment.
Good knowledge on or keen to learn some of the areas of financial markets.
Highly knowledgeable on Red Hat operating system and networking. You are also showing knowledge and interest in clustered environments.
Highly knowledgeable on Oracle (preferred 12c or higher). Experience with setting up and/or maintaining databases.
Knowledge on cyber-security: encryption, network firewalling, vulnerability scanning (servers, deployed software and static code), security monitoring.
Knowledge on monitoring and logging tools/frameworks like Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic Search, Logstash and Kibana stack.
Experience in setting up / maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery, using tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Fortify is a nice to have.
Experience in containerization solutions is a nice to have.
