DC Process Analyst
The DC process analyst is responsible for tracking and structural reporting of all DC activities, drive the continuous improvement conversation and implementation of initiatives (with the DMAIC methodology). These continuous improvement initiatives are meant to reduce cost of operations, improve service level, improve capacity , improve capability, productivity and/ or quality. Role owns coordinating activities between the DC / logistics & business unit groups. Model future developments into current processes to identify the roadmap of change. Developing of new reports and dashboards. Role will also work up / down the supply chain to ensure optimal inbound & outbound flow.Omschrijving: Tasks & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned:
Contribute to S&OP process re: D&L capacity & utilize outputs from the process for D&L planning
Identify opportunities to improve order fulfillment processes from a cost & service standpoint, champions initiatives through to completion
Supports peak & key activity planning, i.e. Xmas / major promotions / QTR ends etc. Monitor the flow of orders through the logistics / warehouse processes
Monitors transit times for compliance, and ensure that x-docks are managed to minimize DC dwell time and unnecessary handling at the DCs
VAS ensures cost structure is transparent, identifies opportunities to simplify / eradicate or move to factories
Support development and implementation of global best practices proactively identifies opportunities to improve overall performance (including upstream / downstream processes & functions)
Contributes to scorecards for major wholesale accounts / retail / internet
Actively works to smooth peaks & valleys in the D&L processes
Assist DC productivity with solid DC loading and creating visibility
Provides input / contributes to vendor & internal QBRs
Monitor inbound logistics to establish medium term priority plan
Responsible for ensuring that process improvement opportunities are identified, and that any barriers and issues are raised and communicated in a timely fashion. If any requirements or requests to change the process arise, responsibility to ensure that proper change control procedures are followed and that any process documentation is updated and maintained to reflect the current approved process and settings.
Contributes to reviews of outbound freight routing e.g. LTL vs parcel
Takes responsibility for gathering training materials and holds regular forums to disseminate content
Functie-eisen:
Minimum of MBO education level, HBO working and thinking level
Knowledge of Distribution & Logistics processes, Lean Six Sigma and global/local distribution flow
Systems knowledge of Manhattan WMS, SAP, datamining, SQL developer, VBA excel , Access, Powerpoint
strong analytical and creative/resourceful problem solving skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
Proficient knowledge of Dutch and English language, both speaking and writing
Have a proactive and can do mindset, being able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
A drivers license and a car is required for this location
