What youll do
As our new Credit Risk Analyst you will be working in an ambitious and results-driven team, right on the trading floor. Part of a small team, reporting directly to the Global Chief Risk Officer, you will be exposed to a wide range of risk areas, primarily focusing on Market, Credit and Operational Risk. Your main responsibility will be analysing and monitoring the risks arising from our trading activities in various financial products across all four Optiver offices. Next to that you will develop extensive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while monitoring their transactions, reporting on risks and evaluating trading activities. Please note that this position is for all four offices, so it may be require travelling when necessary, however you will be based in Amsterdam.
So, in short, as our new Credit Risk Analyst you will be:
Monitoring and reporting aggregated risk exposures to Senior management;
Monitoring transaction and capital limits set up with brokers and clearing;
Evaluating market making activities, hedging methodologies and trading models;
Analysing and reconciling theoretical P&Ls reported by the Optiver offices;
Identify emerging risks within the organisation;
Developing and implementing new risk methodologies and policies;
Enhancing current reporting and monitoring processes;
Establishing relationships with internal stakeholders and advise them on several risks.
Who you are
You have an academic degree preferably in Econometrics, Economics, Finance or equivalent;
You have 1-2 years of working experience as a risk analyst within the financial industry;
You have strong coding skills and preferably experience with using Excel, VBA and Python;
You have an affinity for financial markets and trading;
You have excellent analytical skills;
You are a strong team player;
You have great multitasking skills with an eye for detail;
You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
