Main resposibilities will include:
Manage raw or packaging categories in Europe.
Develop and lead cost saving projects specific to the commodities managed.
Independently negotiate raw/pack materials deals with suppliers/ distributors.
Monitor vendor performance (OTIF) & take corrective actions.
Work in close coordination with R&D to support new product developments, identify or generate cost saving initiative projects and support implementation within aggressive timelines.
Make raw/pack material budgets by using forecasting tools.
Present to senior management whenever required.
Support Vendor Development initiatives for launch of major new products and projects in conjunction with Global and Local buyers, packaging engineering, planning cell, marketing and R&D.
Consistently benchmarks key pricing points and provides analytical support derived from operational, technical and financial inputs to identify leverage points for negotiations.
Monitor realization of cost savings and ensures price changes are reconciled in the accounting system.
Achieve optimum cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets.
Development of price forecasts for key market drivers
Interaction with Local and Global commodity buyers
Performs monthly Purchase price variance analysis and implements action plan.
BS, BA or MBA degree in engineering, business, or other appropriate field, ideally with a specialty in Purchasing or Supply chain management.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong negotiation skills
Positive track record in negotiation and cost reduction project.
Technical project management skills
Demonstrated success of completing business improvement projects such as cost reductions and business simplification processes.
Ability to achieve success in a team-based environment.
Structured and analytical
Solution- and results-oriented
Positive track record in negotiation and cost reduction projects with International vendors.
