In the role of Assistant Market Controller you will play a very active role to drive and manage the overall Business performance for the Market Africa. You will do this together with a talented Finance Team, located in Johannesburg (HQ), our direct Africa countries and the central Finance team for HeathSystems, located in Eindhoven.
This job contains an Accounting focused Assistant BP role, where the Accounting Knowledge is a key enabler to manage the analytics and insights for our Project-Based IGM P&L for HealthSystems Africa.
Also you will have recurring interaction with our Africa Teams for Direct Export, Accounting Operations, Credit-Collection and Cash Management and Project Accounting. Next you will work closely with the General Manager Africa for HealthSystems and the business functions like Supply Chain, Market 2 Order, Sales and Business Marketing & Sales Leaders.
You will report to the Market Controller Africa; your position is based in Eindhoven, with period requirement to travel to our Africa locations.
Our Finance Team
You will be part of the Africa Finance Team, where key deliverables are our Planning & Control Cycle (MEC FC AOP), our Market and Country/Channel performance management Cost & Margin management for our overall Africa performance, our Market IGM performance (Quote Orderintake Revenue Recognition; Pre-post calculation).Focus is first instance HealthSystems but other tasks will be extended to HealhTech. (eg Sellex, WoCa).
Project Controlling; together with Supply Chain have a Pre-Post calculation process in place, driving and discussing IGM results cross functionally (Supply Chain, Pricing, Project and Business Managers),
Deal by Deal Project IGM analytics; review (Pre-) MEC on Project Spend/Accounting Flow, as direct input for our IGM Actual analytics,
Work very closely and interactively with the Africa Accounting Controller and Project Accountants to further advance our CS and EQ quality on MEC accounting review and financial accounting flows on IGM,
Cost of Organization and Enabling Functions controlling; work with our Africa functions and Finance on next level of cost transparency and its analytics,
Close cooperation with DX organization (Financial controls, Financial performance on P&L items),
Be part of the Planning and Control cycle for Africa on AOP MEC and Forecast ; work very closely with our local Africa Teams and the FP&A Commercial Analyst in Chennai,
Work on several improvement programs, cross functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Districts, Sales and Business Line Management.
You will be a part of an international team working closely with the business and the key markets. You will report to the Market Controller Africa HealthSystems. You will work closely with the business functions in Eindhoven and Africa.

We are looking for
Minimum 4 years of experience in a international financial management/analysis/controlling role,
Experienced in Accounting focus/knowledge (Project Accounting, Project and SAP/PMA transactional knowledge) or willing to make these investments as part of your job development,
Master degree in Finance,
Intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data and to translate this into concrete actions,
Project management, change management and process improvement experience,
IT affinity (SAP MP1, PMA, EFR, Excel)
Good interpersonal and communication skills,
Strong team player,
Business driven attitude and a sparring partner for management,
Excellent analytical skill,
Pro-active and hands-on,
Your way of working is characterized by a high level of accuracy,
Fluent in English.
