Supply Chain Manager

Our Supply Planning team plays a key role in fulfilling Amgen’s mission. We coordinate and plan the operational activities for Amgen’s site in Breda. We ensure supply to patients in more than 75 markets in Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa Regions.
The Supply Planning team is part of the Amgen Breda Supply Chain. We are responsible for managing the short, medium and long term plans for incoming supplies, production, warehouse and QA activities.
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager Product Planning to join our team. This is a career opportunity for Supply Chain professional with the ambition to develop and grow within Supply Chain/Operations.
The Supply Chain Manager Product Planning is responsible for the medium-term (4-24 months horizon) tactical and strategic production- capacity- and supply chain planning. Through reliable supply plans, you ensure that we can produce the right volume and supply patients in more than 75 markets timely.
You work closely with various stakeholders and departments such as Site Operations, Process Development, Maintenance, Warehouse, Site Commercialization and QA. You ensure optimal stock positions and that we can meet market requirements, by taking business trends, capacity utilization, production efficiency, and components management into account.
You are the working closely the Regional Operations Leads, and the Commercialization department to manage new product introductions and phase out of products. This also means that you are the one initiating if new procedures and processes should be created.
Amgen’s number of products, volumes and complexity are increasing significantly over time. We have a Lean transformation program in place to ensure a more responsive and agile Supply Chain. This is a great challenge to be managed by the Supply Planning team – and you. You will lead improvement initiatives and optimize our Supply Chain in terms of responsiveness, reliability and stability. You define improvements and opportunities based on analysis, and you prioritize what initiatives and actions should be taken first.
All this you will do within a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment and according to Class A and World Class Manufacturing principles.
Your qualifications –
Min. 5 years of experience with end-to-end Supply Chain Planning and/or Operations gained in a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment such as pharmaceuticals, medtech, food/beverages, and ingredients. You are familiar with working with high compliance and quality standards. –
Experience with project management in an international complex organizations requiring the ability to work and align with various stakeholders and peer departments. –
Experience with continuous improvements (Lean 6 Sigma) –
Experience with ERP or SAP (Plan-to-Stock, inventory management, capacity planning) is preferred but not required. –
Bachelor/Master degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business Administration/Engineering. –
Fluent in English, good oral and written communication skills. Good communication skills. –
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. You drive results and make things happen because of your customer focused and pro-active attitude. You take ownership and are able to set prioritizes.
