Your Challenge: For the role of the Product and System Communications Specialist, we are looking for a specialized communications professional who is highly detailed oriented. In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of communication initiatives of the products and systems of Philips Lighting Professional Systems business unit. You will work closely with global Segment and Sub-Segment Marketing, global product management, B2B and Systems Marcom, and Channel Marcom, and Product and System Communications groups – ensuring that the content produced by all groups is accurately, efficiently, and logically presented to all internal and external audiences. A large component of the role is ownership of the Market Activation Portal and Product and System Portal, as well as responsibility for assembling, moderating, and curating the product and system communication announcement activities. This role is a “people person” with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations within the Professional Systems IBM Community platform. Your Responsibilities: Works closely with global Segment and Sub-Segment Marketing, global product management, B2B and Systems Marcom, and Channel Marcom, and Product and System Communications Technical Authors to present content according to Market Introduction Process (MIP) deadline(s) as well as throughout the product lifecycle. Ownership the presentation of the Market Activation Portal and Product and System Portal. Ensures that content is appropriate for the respective audiences and curates appropriately. Requires analyzing, designing, coding, assembling, moderating, and curating content to the appropriate structures and audiences. Ownership of the “Communications Hub” e-mail announcement initiatives. Works directly with Segment and Product management in analyzing, designing, coding, assembling, moderating, and curating content to the appropriate audiences. Analyze the long-term needs of the group’s communication strategy, provide quarterly reports to manager that outline any necessary changes or enhancements to the communication strategy. Acts as a consultant to manager in areas of technology and processes. Analyze and report on monthly engagement with all portals and e-mail initiatives. Creates PSD concepts / mock-ups for visual layout of portal pages and e-mail communications for review and approvals by appropriate staff, once approved, creates concept into HTML and /or appropriate platform-specific coding. Collects, validates, and maintains product marketing data. Protects consistency of content against norms and standards such as product data model, attribute definitions, and brand guidelines. Participates in content improvement and project support. Your Team: You will be an integral team member, part of a global team, reporting to the director of Professional Systems Product and System Communications within Philips Lighting Professional Systems. You will work directly with the Professional Systems European Product and System Communications Manager as well as with primary data and asset manager. Your Background: 2-4 year experience in a similar role. Self-starting, self-directed team player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to accept responsibility and display motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner while working both independently and as part of a team Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides a variety of tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude. Must be flexible as timelines and deadlines change in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of technical and non-technical personnel Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail HTML coding experience required – knowledge e-mail platform system experience (Eloqua, etc.) a plus Must be proficient with latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) Experience working with metadata, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies, a plus Prior experience with CMS, ECM, or Document Management Systems a plus Must have knowledge of social and new media usage and trends Competency with standard business software and technologies such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel Our offer We offer you the opportunity to work for the #1 global lighting organization.
