For the Dordrecht Delrin® Chemical area we are looking for a enthusiastic and motivated candidate.
Delrin® Dordrecht is the production unit of POM. The Chemical process is a High Hazardous Process. Delrin® Compounding is the finishing area where the polymer is compounded and pelletized.
Delrin® globally has a growth mission of 4,3% CAGR by investing in supply reliability, capability and flexibility while optimizing the network for taxes / duties resulting in inventory and delivered costs competitive with best in class benchmarks. The business has historically enjoyed solid variable margins, and the products exhibit properties that are unique in the market place. Main differentiator with competitive offerings is the intrinsic product properties, making Delrin® the product of choice for molders with specialty applications. 5 compounding units globally produce resins for our customers. The polymer units at Washington Works and Dordrecht Works deliver semi-finished product (fluff) for local compounding and to fulfil Asian compounding demand. Critical to the success of the business is the ability to grow in the core segment of the market, requiring improved cost productivity. Rejuvenation and reliability of the chemical process and competitive cost of compounding are instrumental to this objective.
The process engineer Assistance To Operations (ATO) provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering technical expertise to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability when the product or standard process is no longer stable, predictable or in control.
The process engineer ATO is part of the operations organization and responsible for:
– The day to day process control follow-up and trouble shooting.
– First response to plant technical and process issues.
– Assistance to Operations coverage including evening, night and weekends.
– Process improvement initiations.
– Helps to develop the production ATO operators
– Failior Mode Effect Analysis and the associated control plans
– Process Hazard Analysis
– Product quality control and incident investigations

Job Qualifications Requirements
Technical degree (BS, MS or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge of financial activities across the E2E Supply Chain. Having the capability to enable/support decisions after evaluation of financial data.
Knowledge of the principles and practical applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
Process Analysis & Improvement
Originating action to improve existing conditions and processes; using appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and measure impact
Process knowledge & utilization of tools, systems, techniques and methodologies to ensure that a process is predictable, stable, and consistently operates at the target level of performance, producing the desired product to order, on time, all the time and to defined quality standards in a safe, secure and environmentally acceptable manner.
Quality Control Standards
Knowledge of the processes and flow in the business. Ability to monitor, analyze and maintain the processes of the quality management system. Ability to use auditing and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement of the quality system. Knowledge of customer requirements and the ability to engage the organization to meet those requirements.
Scientific Methods & Processes
Understanding of experimental design and documentation as well as documentation of existing technology or basic data for use in capital projects. Understanding of associated diagrams and associated technical documentation of equipment and instruments.
