    Officer Contracting Commodities – Rotterdam

    Your job Your challenge is to timely issue the facility letters (contract between the bank and our clients) and arrange the required security documentation in accordance with the approved credit conditions. Your day at the office? You will draft facility letters and arrange the related security documents in consultation with internal and external legal counsels. You assist account managers with negotiating terms of such documentation and monitoring the receipt of the compliant documents and other conditions precedent. The team serves as a center of expertise for security documents used within the bank’s Commodities clients business to ensure consistency and application of best practices that have impact on our Commodities clients business / products worldwide. You will be communicating with the bank’s legal department and external legal counsels, risk managers, mid office, account managers and clients.
    You are part of a small international team within the Contracting International Client department. You will report to the Head of Contracting Commodities.

    Your working environment Contracting Commodities is part of the Contracting International Clients and is the center of expertise for for the facility and security documentation of the Commodities Clients business line within Energy, Commodities & Transportation Clients (ECT). ECT Clients is part of ABN AMRO Bank’s Large Corporates & Merchant Banking. ECT−Commodities Clients is a client coverage entity, offering a full range of banking products, lending and other services, to medium sized and large corporates in the international industrial value chain of commodities (commodity producing−, trading− and consuming companies). ECT−Commodities Clients is organized along three market groups: Agri, Metals and Energy and currently has offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Dubai, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, Shanghai and Moscow. We are one of the leading commodity finance banks of the world.

    Your profile

    • Educated to bachelor or university work level
    • At least 1 year of relevant banking orlegal documentation experience
    • Understanding of the principles of commodity/trade finance, collateral (including title documents, inventory and receivables) and the security structures typical for commodity/ trade finance in various jurisdictions
    • Well organized, accurate and capable of working under pressure
    • You are a strong team player, you are confident, have backbone and are self− starting
    • Fluent in English (verbal and in writing)
