Marketing Communications Specialist EMEA
This position is accountable for driving the development and timely execution of annual marketing communications plan and a roadmap for content generation and distribution in order to increase awareness and visibility of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate’s brand, as well as create a desire for its products and services.
The implementation of the annual content plan amplifies Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate’s positioning, key themes of the business, and supports the various value propositions of Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate’s products and services. Through a smart combination of communication tools, the marketing communications specialist plays an important role in enabling Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate to be/become the “partner of choice” for present and future customers.
Principal Accountabilities 60% Create and coordinate tailored, cutting edge content and tools meeting the set (communication) objectives
develop/write English content in the right tone and in alignment with the overall Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate brand messaging based on what Cargill, Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate and the products/services stand for.
understand the possibilities of offline and online communication tools, provide pro-active recommendations about optimizing the tool mix, ensure Cargill, Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate recognizably stand out in the eyes of customers
work with internal stakeholders (marketing, technical services, sales) to have strategic input for campaigns.
develop tools for sales – responsible for the production of various forms of offline, web and social content (e.g. sales collateral, meetings, newsletters, website, social media, internal communications)
use digital communication tools (e.g. internal and external website(s)) including developing use of digital marketing and social media. These focus areas will need to be further identified and integrated within the communications strategies and content plan. All efforts will need to be measured via marketing automation tools.
20% Accountable for developing and timely execution of the annual marketing communications strategy and plan
set objectives, deliverables and deadlines based on category and product marketing strategies as well as the overall brand and communications strategy
take the lead to further develop marketing communications strategies and professionalizing our communication tool mix (including social media), capabilities and processes, together with the Group Director Communications and Marketing Communications
act as an ambassador for marketing and communications
20% Safeguarding brand and editorial guidelines across channels, pro-actively provide suggestions to sharpen the tools & channels mix in line with customer profiles/roles and customer journeys.
Qualifications Education, Experience, Skills
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelors or university degree
Approx. 6 yrs experience working in communication and marketing teams
Experience in B2B environment, with food industry as a pre
Willingness and ability to liaise effectively with various internal and external stakeholders / key spokes persons through creation of intellectual and emotional report
Proven experience with production of various types of communication tools
Able to work in a complex “corporate” environment – proven experience with stakeholder management
Proven experience with SEO / SEM
Experience with the use of social media
Experience in working with content management systems, with marketing automation tools as a pre
Experience in working with / steering various external agencies
Writing and editing skills (articles, blogs, intros, newsletters), with English being our spoken and written language
Project management skills
Good editorial skills, with high attention to detail, who also knows how to create appealing visual content
General marketing & communication knowledge/skills
Ability to develop and execute content plans (campaigns)
Measurement of communications activities
Good listening skills
Ability to focus on details whilst understanding “the big picture/business and products and services portfolio”
