The Maintenance Discipline Engineer is responsible for the Discipline Maintenance strategy and its implementation on the Moerdijk Site. He is responsible to monitor and implement the legal requirements. It’s an essential role in achieving plant reliability requirements consistent with LyondellBasell Standards and legal requirements.
He is thus responsible for maintaining the safety, integrity, reliability and legal status of the plant equipment throughout its lifecycle. Proper functioning of the equipment is necessary in order to satisfy the company requirements for health, safety, environment, legal compliance, product quality & consistency and cost.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in creating and management of a culture in which employee health, safety, environmental stewardship and reliability are the top priorities.
Facilitate and manage a culture of teamwork within LyondellBasell.
Continuous improvement, through the introduction of best practices, achieving savings and synergies.
Develop, implement and maintain a maintenance strategy to meet legal and Basell requirements.
Ensure and control the Technical Integrity of the Plant according legal requirements (e.g. ATEX, Sil, API ASME and PED…)
Responsible for large overhauls and repairs from technical point of view. (e.g. Extruder, Compressor, Pumps, …)
Responsible for Management of Change Process for Technical Changes.
Responsible to control discipline Budget and provide yearly Budget Plan.
Responsible to reduce corrective Maintenance activities and increase PM activities in a cost efficient manner.
Manage and improve Preventieve maintanenace plans in SAP .
Monitoring and continuous improvement of Technical Reliability and investigation Bad Actors.
Continual review of overall reliability of plant equipment to identify and rectify potential problem areas.
Responsible for effective and efficient technical service in terms of:
Support and consultation to Operation and Technology regarding HSE Q, Technical Reliability, PM planning and costs.
Assisting and Support of Plant Shut Downs.
Support internal and external audits from maintenance point of view and take the lead of corrective actions.
Training on the job
Responsible for Service contracts from technical point of view. Work close together with Procurement according Basell rules.
Project support of selected Plant Changes (PCR´s). On request in a lead function.
Support to implement, improve and control Spare Parts Strategy.
Participate/ Facilitate special projects: e.g. Tripod analysis, studies, incident investigation, and any other projects as they are assigned.
Manage HSE Non conformities in maintenance and technical integrity concerns inclusive corrective actions.
Maintain and review Maintenance documentation in the Archive (e.g. Work-Instructions, guidelines, Manuals, technical documentation).
Monitor and improve Maintenance budget against costs on discipline level and report on a monthly basis.
Monitor ongoing Market innovation and make use of Basell KX.
Provide coverage for Maintenance Manager during absences.
Member of the “on call system” for site Moerdijk.
Ensure and improve an effective use of SAP.
Reporting on a frequent basis and on request.
Participate in Safety Rounds according Planning.

HBO -Machinery certificate .
Professional discipline Engineering qualification with 5 years relevant experience in petrochemical plant work
Experience in discipline maintenance work and maintenance
Experience in plant change and project design, development, installation and commissioning
Fluent in English and Dutch
Ability to work unsupervised and plan own workload
Ability to ascertain and resolve discipline integrity issues and steer discipline strategy.
