    Finance Administration Team Leader

    In this role, you will be leading the Finance Administration team and will have the exciting opportunity to explore the different functions in Finance/Credit Control within Booking.com working closely with the Global Finance Operations Management. You will be responsible of the Finance Administration team performance and main activities will be related supporting credit control operations.

    As a Team Leader, it is your responsibility to understand the business needs of your stakeholders, formulate the right questions and ensure processes are effective to avoid bottleneck.

    Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You should be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur. In this role you report directly to the Global Billing Manager.

    B.Responsible:
    The Team Leader FA will streamline and implement smarter and scalable processes within Global Finance Operations (GFO) and Credit Control to support the mission of Booking.com by efficiently translating business transactions into timely, accurate, clear and complete financial information.

    Clear goals will be given in terms of:
    Team Development

    Be able to identify any revenue or compliance risk on the financial administrator processes

    Direct Debit and SEPA mandate

    Credit and Debit Note

    Billing

    Finance Administration operations

    Cross functional communication

    Scalable solutions

    Key factors of success in this role are a clear understanding of the credit control procedures, clear and effective transversal communication skills and people management skills.

    Liaise with stakeholders is a key element of your daily work, to ensure to get the technical and tooling needs of the team prioritized and worked on.

    Be responsible for part of the team’s workload, both on a higher overview and priority level and in terms of technical and operational details

    Find ways to optimize execution and improve efficiency

    Frequently communicate with other teams and departments, as well as external partners, representing the team in stakeholder meetings and discussions

    Manage escalations and take ownership of situations to ensure speedy resolutions and effective communication to all stakeholders

    Manage the workload distribution amongst the team, and encourage high levels of performance in line with strict deadlines and quality standards

    Be an effective Change Manager, leading the team through periods of change, displaying motivating and encouraging behaviors

    Conduct quarterly performance conversations and end−of−year appraisals

    Create and support an environment orientated to open communication, creative thinking, cohesive team effort and trust

    Be involved in the recruiting process of new team members

    Degree in Finance or related

    3+ years’ experience in Finance or related field and with min. 2 years of people management experience
