European Performance Marketing Product Owner
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
In your role as the Performance Marketing Product Owner you will be responsible to gather the channel specialists’ feedback and create a cross channel performance marketing strategy for each European campaign for all Unilever brands. Generating qualitative traffic to Unilever partners stores, while identifying new opportunities and maximizing the Return on Investment, as well as leveraging our ATL brand assets to drive traffic. You will strive for an optimal conversion by reaching the right target audience on the right time optimizing the consumer journey. You will be working with your colleagues across Europe, our European agency in London, and pioneering and advising teams on best performance marketing tools, structure, insights and relevant trends to expand performance marketing fast.
You will also play a pivotal role in connecting EU countries in dealings with local performance marketing leads and media teams to assure alignment in EU strategic priorities. Finally, you will be the linking pin between the global capability and knowledge hub and the EU countries, translating capabilities, tools and projects into concrete actions and making sure Europe is represented on the international development roadmap for Performance Marketing.
The European Performance Marketing Product Owner is part of the Europe ecommerce team and works cross-functionally with different departments and countries within the company. The role is to lead the performance marketing activities and track for delivery in 2018 and beyond. In this role, you will engage with Unilever’s European local teams – and – brand leads to launch and embed performance marketing thinking in the teams. Secondly, you are responsible for the further development of the Performance Marketing way-of-working in the EU organization, adding and refining new methodologies to existing Performance Marketing work.
Translating marketing objectives to online marketing strategy
Designing, monitoring and managing campaigns
Set up new performance marketing activities
Challenging different agencies
Analysing campaigns to continuously improve campaigns
Manage planning and budgets and report back to various budget owners and stakeholders
Align with 4 channel specialists to explore performance growth in the FMCG industry
Setup workshops with the different stakeholders within Europe to transmit learnings from our cross channel performance marketing activities
You are capable of communicating with impact & across different levels across the organization and be able to influence the organization as a performance marketing ambassador
You should be able to act as an entrepreneur and you are capable of making the difference in Performance Marketing
Agile and Scrum experience is a plus
Comfortable within site analytics platforms, namely Adobe Analytics
Understanding of how performance media channels work
Ability to understand the bigger picture and communicate effectively to senior leadership
Translates the desired strategy to the media agency for operational setup
Monitors campaign setup and in-flight optimization
Gathers learnings and guards the continues channel development
Educational: spreads the channel expertise within the organization
University Educated (preference: Technical Studies or econometric)
4+ years of practical Performance Marketing experience with a proven ability to build programs geared towards conversion (Facebook or Programmatic hands-on experience is a plus)
Capable to manage large number of stakeholders at all levels within and outside the company
