WebshopinChina assists companies to enter successfully the Chinese online market or to improve the current business results in China. We are a Sino-Dutch team and have offices in Amsterdam and Shanghai. Amongst our clients have been leading Dutch and international brands such as Suitsupply, Vitaminstore, Scotch & Soda, Jamie Oliver and ELLE. Next to that, we operate our own store in China on JingDong called Daphne Holland Store.
Since we are growing very fast we are looking for marketing talent to strengthen our team in Amsterdam.
You will spend 60% of working hours on content marketing and design:
Create text and other rich media contents to grow our social media and e-shop website
Create an effective and scalable visual identity for a new Chinese online store that includes but is not limited to font, logo, color palates, and design icons.
Design and assist with creating marcom assets, e.g. banners, prints, and advertisement, using graphic design programs and other marketing tools
Be the owner of brand campaign operation, ensuring business objectives are achieved
Maintain web contents using CMS and recommend suggestions to improve user experience
You will spend the rest 40% of working hours on market research and ad-hoc requests:
Conduct desktop research to analyze market intelligence and competitor dynamics
Execute other marketing campaigns on ecommerce platforms
Fulfill ad-hoc writing and/or analytics requests
Ideal candidate profile:
Studying toward or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Media, Design, Journalism, Business Economics, or other related fields
Advanced proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is a MUST. Working proficiency in other Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. After Effect) is a plus.
Can convert business requirements to creative solutions. Previous experience in designing for digital, ecommerce, packaged goods, hospitality, and/or high technologies is a plus.
Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and fluent in English
Self-starter/eager to learn and explore
Digitally savvy and have strong affinity with the (Chinese) digital world, especially social media
Have a writer’s soul and can translate business requirements into creative outputs
Strong interest in fashion, travel, media, lifestyle, fitness, cuisine, design and culture is a plus
Minimum 40 hours a week available for minimum of five months
