Maintain and keep reliable the Deventer plant & site. Duties include development, alignment & implementation of reliability excellence practices/programs; prevention, maintenance and repair; project planning, contractor/vendor management; best practice application, training and support and people management.
Develops, aligns, deploys and executes maintenance & reliability excellence vision, strategy as well as direct program administration for the site.
Promotes a culture that builds, operates and maintains plants that are operational sound, safe and reliable.
Implements leading reliability excellence practices and raises the poor performance using key performance indicators.
Leads the deployment of Reliability Excellence processes for the plant and ensures the reliability culture is foundational to operations. Enforces common reliability processes and metrics to achieve targeted results from continuous improvement practices, and validates the importance of Reliability Excellence through key successes.
Partners with Reliability Excellence COEs to identify, deploy and leverage opportunities for continuous improvements.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Manages and implements pro-active maintenance and reliability activities for the site.
Partners with other departments, contractors, community and local regulators to ensure asset health and availability.
Oversees and manages complex ongoing maintenance activities and records to ensure asset health and adherence to guidelines, codes, regulations, requirements and overall production quality.
Oversees the execution of repair procedures and tasks to ensure compliance with the fundamental plant reliability strategies, standards and practices. Monitors work through systems (Maintenance Management Systems, Maximo) to ensure work orders and requests are executed in accordance with established workflow and priorities.
Reviews, analyzes, and develops conclusions in regards to maintenance/reliability maintenance metrics and performance.
Leads and/or supports audit compliance, root cause analysis processes within the maintenance team, which includes tracking and reporting on established metrics for a site (Asset health index, Maintenance cost/RAV, OEE, etc.).
Partners with Group Reliability Engineering department to develop and/or approve the development of strategies for operations including technical process optimization.
Focal point for Plant Systems and Controls (Manufacturing IT) and Office IT infrastructure.
Best practices Application & Support
Develops, maintains and applies consistent maintenance and reliability best practices.
Provides ad-hoc technical support as needed.
Serves as a source of maintenance/reliability information for the site.
Supports operations by analyzing and developing conclusions in regards to failures, downtime and lost production and identifies opportunities to improve operator reliability and/or determines acceptable risk tolerance for assets.
People and Budget Management
Promotes a safety culture in accordance with group and site EHS strategy
Responsible for people management, including recruiting, retention, development and engagement of team (4 technicians, 1 planner and 1 Reliability Engineer)
Responsible for the appropriate scheduling and delegation of activities for a team of maintenance/reliability employees and 3rd party contractors.
Establishes and manages maintenance budgets. Has responsibility for subset of cost control of repairs and maintenance and also maintenance labor and parts.
Reports on maintenance cost and establishes the cost forecast
Buys OPEX parts required to maintain the factory
Reviews supplier proposals to get the optimal conditions
Partners with CSSP lead/category buyers to align with strategy and obtain best conditions
Bachelor degree in Engineering preferably E&I, knowledge of plant systems and controls (PLC, SCADA) is a plus.
5 years experience in (process) industry in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
Experience with continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
Experience with and knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo).
Strong focus on safe work.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Can-do mentality.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills: Listening, speaking, writing, presenting, discussing and negotiating .
Interpersonal skills: natural leader, team player, respectful, influencer, organized, process thinker.
Proficient in English and Dutch, German is a plus.
