To further strengthen the IHC Medusa corporate start-up within Royal IHC, we are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager. Under the direction of IHC MTI, IHC Medusas main activity is the development, sale and distribution of its revolutionary soil stabilisation system. This allows for the reuse of waste soil in solid, concrete-like, products, as well as reducing the operational logistics at a construction site. In the near future, IHC Medusa will launch its product line. In support, and to properly position the company in the market, we are looking to expand the existing team of five with a commercial business talent. In your role as a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, executing and advising on commercial opportunities, and business propositions. These will all fall in line with IHC Medusas operational targets. Using an outside-in perspective, you will take a short, and medium- to long-term perspective, in order to realise scalable and sustainable business that contributes to the growth objectives of the company. In addition, you will analyse and shape strategic partnership opportunities and execute new business models.
To be eligible for the position of Business Development Manager Medusa, you must have:
higher academic education (master) and three to five years of relevant experience
experience in relevant industries (or similar) is an advantage
experience with small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) is advantageous
ability to liaise with middle- and senior management teams with ease, both internally and externally
willingness to travel, excellent conceptual and analytical capabilities
entrepreneurial spirit, proactive attitude, ability to network and preference for working in a small team
excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both verbal and written and French and/or Spanish is advantageous).

IHC MTI is Royal IHC’s centre for R&D. Our mission is to provide sustainable solutions for the challenges of today and for the future of the movement and positioning of soil. Through close consultation with our colleagues, we optimise the design, use a, d control of any equipment that comes into contact with soil. Through this, we are able to enhance mission equipment and advise our customers on how to make optimal use of IHCs technology. This ensures that we improve, extend and reduce the TCO of IHCs product portfolio. In addition, the knowledge we gain enables us to offer a first-rate consultancy service to our customers. IHC MTI main activities include R&D, ranging from fundamental knowledge development in collaboration with universities and knowledge institutes, through to prototype development in the run-up to commercialisation consultancy services in the field of dredging, establishing IHCs intellectual property strategy and supporting our sister companies in its execution. IHC MTI offices are based in Delft and Kinderdijk, with permanent research facilities located at the latter. IHC MTI also make use of temporary research facilities as required.
